Diese Arbeit untersucht die inhaltliche Interpretation des attributiven Genitivs auf dem syntaktischen Niveau der deutschen Gegenwartssprache. Von diesem Standpunkt aus liefert diese Arbeit einen Überblick über Informationen,
die zum Thema „Attributiver Genitiv“ in den verwendeten Nachschlagwerken und linguistischen Fachliteratur zu finden sind. Dabei ist das selbstständige Auffinden von illustrativen Beispielen, die zur Verdeutlichung der theoretischen Annahmen dienen, von besonderer Bedeutung und stellt dementsprechend den Kern dieser Arbeit dar. Inhaltliche Interpretation wird in diesem Zusammenhang vor allem als Transformation des ganzen Satzgliedes, dessen ein Teil Genitivattribut ist, in eine zugrunde liegende Prädikation verstanden. Dabei ist vor allem die Semantik ausschlagend.
